Hi from Thailand :) so happy to finally be blogging from here. I thought I'd include a little travel update on what I have been up to and include some pictures from my time in Koh Samui - Bo Phut and obviously what I've been wearing.

The weather here has been very humid and it is extremely hot all of the time however at the moment most days are over cast and there is often a down pour of rain either during the day or in the evening. Honestly have never seen rain like it and coming from Britain that is quite a big statement aha, literally it is like standing under a waterfall. Although proving perfect weather for these H&M floaty trousers, which are just amazing to wear. They're perfect on and were only £14.99 cannot go wrong!

So I am currently blogging from Chaweng - Koh Samui were we will be based for a while as James is training (thai boxing) in one of the local gyms here. I will eventually blog more about Chaweng in future post but for now I thought I would include what and where I have been up until now. So I arrived just over 2 weeks ago to meet James (boyfriend) who had already been out here for 3 weeks, I was so excited but extremely nervous at the same time as I had never been on a plane on my own before and the longest journey being only 4 hours - so the 13 hour flight was a little daunting. However once on the plane I was fine, and I slept most of the way which was perfect.

So far we have visited and stayed in Bo Phut which is another part of Koh Samui and we have also Koh Tao which is about 2 hours via boat from here. I am having the best time, there are so many wonderful things to do and see. One of my favourite things about thailand are the constant markets and street food. There is so much to try and taste and is so cheap which is a bonus, the markets also are ridiculously cheap I have to reframe from buying everything I see as I couldn't possibly carry it all around with whilst on the move aha.

I have included some photos from are time in Bo Phut, mainly from Bo Phut's Fisherman Village, which we happened to stumble across whilst roaming up and down the local street. Bo Phut was quite quiet with not much to do until we finally found this place. There was such a great hustle and bustle vibe, with so many colours and things to see and going on. The food again was immense, honestly so far the street food has been the best thing, I know people have said before that you shouldn't eat it. But once your here its hard not to, and it all seems perfectly fine to me. Each to there own I guess :) Look forward to blogging more soon xo

The weather here is still pretty Grey and I am starting to miss the sunshine. I here at home it has been lovely and summer has finally arrived. I think I'm slightly a little jealous, however I take that back quickly as I am in Thailand and having an amazeballs time.. just not in the sun.

Today's post is an evening look I wore out the other night for dinner and to explore to town. Just a pretty simple outfit, in this heat everything I wear I find is pretty simple. The skirt is an oldie but a classic and keeps on reappearing in my current wardrobe so I thought I would blog it again. This crop top from RiverIsland was such a little bargain for only £12.99 I love it, it brings such a pop of colour to an easy outfit. I find really flattering on me too which is a bonus : ) I am aware that I look like I have a giant coconut on my head but I am finding my frizzy mane ridiculous to maintain in the humid heat. Even my topknot is out of control.

So a little more on my travel and when we visited Koh Tao. We were there for 4 nights and had the best weather it was gorgeous and the beach was at the nicest I have been to yet, clear blue water and silky sand. Koh Tao was really nice, lots of suffers and divers around so it definitely is the place to go if you are looking to do diving. Whilst we was there we went on a snorkelling trip which took us to five different destinations and we got the opportunity to get off the boat and snorkel - which was amazing we saw so many different and colourful kinds of fish and the people on the boat would throw these little biscuits in for the fish and hundreds would come swarming. You could get right amongst them it was amazing, one of those moments I wished I had an underwater camera for.

After half an hour or so of snorkelling at each stop we get back on the boat and go to the next place. That was the part I DREADED the most, I get really bad sea sickness and it was quite choppy water on that day I managed to hold myself together all the way to the last destination and as we pulled up to get off my body could not take anymore and well I threw up over board. I felt so embarrassed aha but I've never seen people move so fast everyone was off that boat in a second. So after my little hiccup we were at Koh Nang Yuan are last destination where we plan to stay for 2 hours. Koh Nang Yaun is three small islands all connected by one beach, it is so picturesque such a beautiful place to visit. Some people stay on the island however there is literally one restaurant and shop. But I suppose for a paradise honeymoon destination it would be perfect.

So minus the seasickness it was such a brilliant day. After an eventful day we headed back and just strolled around Koh Tao's town and got some nice grub, where I peacefully tried very hard not to think of tomorrows boat trip back to Koh Samui - which turned out to be a whole different ball game as we woke up to torrential rain and the choppiest waves ever. I'll let you guess what the outcome of that journey was.. and it is safe to say that I wasn't the only one this time. xo

So now we are in Koh Samui Chaweng where we plan to settle for the majority of our time in Thailand, as this is where James will train at one of the local thai boxing gyms. We have been in Chaweng for just over 2 weeks now and it is slowly but surely starting to feel like temporary 'home'. We have our favourite restaurants and markets and also are favourite spot on the beach so all things at the moment are pretty content.

After a while we will visit other places in Thailand I really want to go to Bangkok, Koh Pi Pi and Chiang Mai, and we also will be going to Malaysia and Bali. So all exciting things to look forward to. Anyone considering going travelling or to live in a different country for a while I 100% recommend you just go ahead and do it, you only live once and it will be such an amazing experience to look back on. Having graduated for uni just last year, me and james planned to go to thailand just after therefore my goal since leaving uni was just to get a job and save save save. Now here it feels like such an achievement that we made it, even though part of me is still lost and in limbo about my future and career I'm hoping that thailand will give me the inspiration to succeed in something I enjoy and love when I get back to the UK. Blogging being one of them I haven't really had the opportunity to put 100% into my blog and I have been writing it for 3 years now, so I'm looking forward to my blog being the main focus for a while :) thank you to everyone who still reads my blog and all new followers. xo

Another beach look for today's post, this bikini is one of my favourites. Primark have created some gooduns' this summer they have had so many different styles and prints and I cannot help but feel girlie in this one, specially with my hair braid and swishy skirt aha. I was very excited about my hair braid in this post as I haven't had a braid put in my hair since I was about 8 years old, sadly this one only last a few days before falling to pieces in my hair, which I was very upset about I remember them staying in for weeks and weeks when I was younger, gahh how times have changed.

Today was the first day the sun has shined in about four days, so I was a happy bean catching my weekly vitamin D fix. I hope the rain stays away for a few days.

Wearing a very old Motel number today - which surprisingly I have not blogged before. I wore this dress when I attend LFW SS13 here and don't think I have worn it since, but Thailand has been perfect opportunity to whip out some old time favourites.

The weather has been intensely hot these last 3 days, literally gone from rain and clouds to scorching sunshine. However I'm not complaining even if I did suffer with a burnt nose and bum for a couple of days, it is nice to see clear skies.

Wearing my trusting Motel playsuit and chunky sandals, I felt very traveller esque'. Motel have never failed in creating a perfect fit playsuit I have quite a few in my collection now and I feel so comfortable in them, Motel is definitely the one to go.

Thailand Market Finds - Kirsty Wears

One of my favourite things about Thailand so far has been the markets and the untold amount of wonderful things they all have. Most of them have quite a lot similar displayed however it is always fun to rummage and have a look through, there are so many colours and bright things - literally I'm like a child in a sweet shop. James is somewhat not impressed as yes I can admit that we have seen pretty much everything there is to see, but I still find something that fascinates me.

So moving on; here are some of the bits I purchased the other day, I must admit that I did get a little carried away and got a lot more than I thought. I was only suppose to be trying to find a new dress, which I did find, as well as two pairs of short, a top, a bag and some fabulous trousers. I cannot stop staring at them all I am such sucker for patterns and textures so all these are a dream.

Today is a simple look and the first time I'm wearing this Twin Sister dress that I purchased a while ago with some Christmas Next vouchers. I didn't realise Next had a wider concession range on their online website, they have so many fab bits on there and such a huge range, I spent days trying to decide what I was going to spend them on. Unfortunately they don't have this dress on there now as it was a xmas purchase but they do have some other Twin Sister dresses which are similar in simplicity. You can also find Twin Sister on OhMyLoveLondon - they have a bigger collection. Oh and just checked they have this dress in their sale see here and a gorgeous pastel print version which is amazingsee here

Thought I'd be a little bit chic with my shots today and shoot them with the apartments roof top satellites in the background. Maybe wasn't as cool as I thought at the time aha but it makes a change. Change in good.

I have always been one to try new foods so if you like these mini Thailand food and lifestyle snippets then I will keep snapping away and pop them up on here every now and then. Let me know.

Behold it's a bright one. I picked up this little rainbow combo up last week, originally I bought them as individual pieces but when I got home I discovered they look fab together making the perfect coord. So I'm guessing it was meant to be.

This week has been a quiet one in Thailand, the weather has not been that great therefore me and James have had a lot of movie days. James also managed to obtain food poisoning so we have been in hiding till he feels better, thankfully he is back to his normal self again. So we have been able to get out and get some fresh air at the beach, which came as a relief as I think cabin fever was just about to kick in.

Having only a suitcase of clothes with me I'm slowly running out of new things to blog, I have purchased a few snazzy bits from the shops and markets here but on a travellers budget its not possible to keep replenishing the suitcase wardrobe aha. So there maybe a few things that reappear occasionally and you might think I've seen her wear that before, but I promise to reinvent it every time so I hope it doesn't get to boring.

Oh and I thought I'd add a little blooper at the end, as clearly James was saying something sarcastically halirious to make me pull such a cheesy grin.

Happy Weekend xo

BE YOUR BEST SELF

So I don't really know where I'm going with the post I just felt like talking well typing, so I'm just going to have a ramble // I have almost been in Thailand now for 2 months and I am having the most wonderful time doing as I please and not having a worry or care in the world. But having so much time to oneself does make you think and wonder what it is I should be doing or thinking. What I'm trying to say is that having all this free time if making me reflect on myself and well where it is I should be going from here. Career wise, life wise just everything really. I'm 23 now, I graduated from uni over a year ago and I feel like I have nothing to show for myself or understanding of what or really who I am as person and well I guess I'm feeling a little guilty for just packing up my stuff and taking myself across the other side of the world to just do nothing.

Instax Mini 8 / Journal - Kirsty Wears Blog
travel journal  ♥
The plan was to find myself whilst I'm here, I thought Thailand would help me become a more confident person and help figure out where it is in life I want to go and what I want to be doing. But I've realised that Thailand is not going to makes all these things happen, it is me who has to. I still have a long journey ahead of me and many exciting things to look forward before coming home next year, so I know maybe I'm being a little hasty or hard on myself giving I've only been here 2 months and I'm already beating myself up about it. However these last 2 months have made me realise that I'm far to content in just mooching and being, and well mooching and just being is not going to get me anywhere.

t2

However I need to remember that I worked hard to be here and have this year out so it's fine if all I'm pursuing is a beach bum dream atm. I need to remember that and stop comparing myself to others and don't worry about what every other being is doing and where they are going. I need to stop worrying and putting pressure on myself - pressure that is not necessary. This fault I'm sure a lot of us have and find ourselves doing, it is natural to compare yourself to others but I guess it's how we look and think of ourself at the same time that gives a different outcome. I need to remember to believe in myself (I flipping should I have it tattooed on me for god sake) I'm here in Thailand being a beach bum because it is what I wanted to do and I worked hard to save and be here.

Instax Mini 8 / Journal - Kirsty Wears Blog
 ♥
My problem is I'm a worrier and too much time on my hands leads to me worrying. AND I'm also my own worlds worst critic which is frustrating as what other people think doesn't bother me at all, I couldn't careless. But me I'll eat myself up for days worrying something I've done isn't good enough. God at uni I was a nightmare, it would take me months of tearing out sketchbook pages before I was 98% happy with the first page. But this trait I know is what will hold me back in the future I need to be more confident in myself and what I love doing if I'm ever going to make it work.

SO having admitted to all that, I have decided that from now on whilst across the other side of the world and when I am back home of course, I am going to stop judging everything I do and just enjoy it. I guess Thailand is the perfect opportunity to plan all things future, I have so many ideas that I want to pursue once I'm home, and I guess this time is the perfect time to figure out how I can start and make these things work. I just need to stop being a scaredy cat and thinking negative 'what if..'s' and just do what it is I love.

t1
So it's ridiculous but I feel better for typing this all down (there I go again criticising myself) ok no its not ridiculous. It is good to get things off your chest and seen as it is just me and James here, blogging it  down seemed the easier option. Lets face it men are rubbish at understanding sometimes.

Well if anyone else out there is guilty putting to much pressure on oneself. THEN stop. You are fabulous and being yourself and doing what you love is the best thing you can be and do, so enjoy it and embrace it and follow it.  Amen xo

AWMISSGWISHLIST - Kirsty Wears // Style Blog

#Grrrrr! This is the second time I'm creating this post as I stupidly managed to save over my last one with a blank canvas, how I managed such a thing I do not know. I could of cried. However staying calm I'm just going to re create it.

Today's post is a little AW lusting list all from the fabulous Missguided. I was going to do a mixed online wish list however it was becoming far to big, so I thought I would just stick to one brand/company at a time. Surprise surprise Missguided were my main culprit, garddd they have so many things I want! BUT this year I will not be able to fulfil my Wintery dreams with such lovely things as I will still be in Thailand AND as amazing as it is to have the opportunity to live in my bikini for a whole year (I'm not complaining), I do love my AW wardrobe it is my favourite. As much of a sun worshiper I am for me nothing beats a new bobble hat, cosy jumper and chunky boots.

SO I will admit that I am a little jealous that you guys are all starting to prepare your Autumn and Winter fashions and stocking up on all wonderful layering and snuggly goodies. I can't help but keep oohing and cooing at instagram every time I see a new pair of boots or a new beautiful oversized coat. I do love seeing what you guys have bought so I am super looking forward to seeing your soon to become AW outfit posts and other blog things.

I hope you like this kind of post, I used to have wish lists feature on here quite a lot, I find them quite fun to put together (more fun if you don't manage to delete them) and I do like to share what I am currently loving. Let me know if you love anything I have featured in this wish list or if you have already purchased anything from it. So I can cry! No joking but do let me know and also pop any links in the comments below if you have created any AW wish list on your blog so I can have a nosy. Speak soon xo

Pretty simple look today, I am obsessed with the whole flare and wide leg trouser trend atm I think it is such a flattering and comfortable style. These babies I picked up the other week when I went a little crazy and bought loads of clothes (see here), so happy I found them. They did actually have a hole in them when I bought them, but I refused to let that stop me and insisted I was going to fix them (which I did) now they're perfect. Fit wise they are actually really similar to the H&M striped wide leg trousers which I blogged at the beginning of my travels (which are also amazing) however they are not seamed at the outer leg and layer over instead, you can kind of see what I mean in the windier pictures.

We have had scorching weather the last two days, it has been so beautiful. However it is stormy today so we've just been chilling and 'tings. Also I have managed to blog Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week so I am SO happy about that I cannot remember the last time that has happened. In fact I don't actually think there has ever been a time where I have blogged a whole week (minus the weekend of course). Bloody brilliant! Happy Friday peeps xo

Just a few snaps from Saturday what I wore (if you follow me on Instagram, you would recognise this outfit from there). The weather is so stormy here that you can get a little grouchy being stuck with not much to do, so me and James tend to go for longish walks to see what we can find and well just to stretchy are legs. Saturdays finds were this amazing view point (yes I moaned all the way up the hill and back down) and this amazing spirit tree and collection of spirit houses. It was so strange because as we were looking around every car that passed by would bib its horn several times and after about 10 bibbing cars we realised they were bibbing for the spirits and at the shrines. Pretty amazing.

If you are like me and love to find new exciting brands that are just emerging on to the high street then you will love the brand I am introducing to you today, however they are fabulous so you maybe of heard of them already. But if not then definitely check them out.

Bill†Mar is a London based brand created by Rosie Bonnar whom found her inspiration when travelling and working in Australia for a year. Naming her brand after her grandparents Bill and Marian (which I think is amazing, her grandparent must be pretty cool), Rosie creates a unique stand out from the crowd collection that is not afraid to deviate from mainstream trends. With clashing prints, bold, vibrant colours and fabric mixes Bill†Mar is an exciting new twist to the high street and the current trends.  Whether you are like me and like to mix up patterns and prints or a fan of the matching two pieces Bill†Mar will not disappoint.

I have put together a few of my favourites pieces from their new AW14 collection and also a couple of sale items have snuck in there too. I would love to hear your thoughts on the brand and what I have chosen. Also your favourites too.
